Welcome to Van Till Family Farm Winery, nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of Rayville, Missouri. Our journey began in 2001 when we, Cliff and Debbie Van Till, relocated from California to escape the rising operating costs and discovered a perfect haven just 40 miles from Kansas City. Here, we found the ideal spot to cultivate our passion for wine and hospitality, becoming dedicated stewards of the land.

Our Value-Added Vision

From the outset, we aimed to create more than just a farm. Embracing a value-added approach, we transformed our property into a multifaceted destination. In 2009, we proudly opened Van Till Family Farm Winery, accompanied by a restaurant and event space. Today, our winery stands as a testament to our vision, offering a haven for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike, conveniently located near charming local bed-and-breakfasts.

Exceptional Wines from Hardy Varietals

At Van Till Family Farm Winery, we produce between 25 to 40 different wines from seven frost-hardy grape varieties, some of which are French-American hybrids. Each wine we craft reflects our dedication and expertise, and we are thrilled to share them with you. We make all different types and styles of wine ranging from bull bodied reds to sweet fruit wines.

  • Norton: Celebrating Missouri’s state grape, our Norton is a full-bodied dry red wine. Its fruit-forward berry flavors give way to spicy, earthy notes, creating a complex and satisfying experience.
  • Chambourcin: Our dry red wine boasts an intense spicy flavor with hints of cherry. Medium-bodied and aged in oak chips to enhance its depth, our Chambourcin pairs wonderfully with barbecued pork and grilled dishes.
  • Vignoles: This semi-sweet delight blooms with a bouquet of citrus, melon, and floral flavors. Its sweetness makes it an ideal companion for our rosemary-pear pizza or a citrus and herb-infused dessert.

Our restaurant specializes in wood-fired pizzas, each thoughtfully crafted to complement our varietals. Highlights include:

  • Rosemary-Pear Pizza: A unique creation that pairs beautifully with our semi-sweet Vignoles.
  • Bacon-Gorgonzola Pizza: Rich and savory, this pizza finds a perfect match in our robust red wines.
  • Fire-Roasted Apple-Bacon Pizza: A harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors, ideal with both dry and semi-sweet varietals.
